Quality assurance has always been a cornerstone of PGM’s manufacturing mindset, and is validated by our pursuit and registration of ISO 9001:2001 in the late 1990’s and the AS9100 standard in the early 2000’s. Many of our systems and procedures are modeled after the top performing manufacturing companies for the military, automotive and medical industries.
Our customers have come to expect uncompromising quality standards in our overall project performance. To ensure this high quality, we continue to invest in the best training for our employees including our customer service department, state-of-the art equipment, and continuous corporate level management improvement.
PGM utilizes cutting-edge, fully-automated technology such as Brown & Sharp, Zeiss, and Sheffield CMM, Vision System Smart Scope, Custom made inspection equipment, and a Nikons toolmakers microscope for inspection. We constantly analyze and adjust our inspection procedures to meet each project’s specific quality inspection needs.
PGM is committed to engaging in every resource available for training our employees. One of the needs which arises from Six Sigma Black Belt programs are project execution support staff (i.e., Green Belts). Several of our people have been green belt trained and continually look to use these tools to improve and monitor our processes. PGM has on staff Certified Quality Engineers and Certified Quality Inspectors. We utilize SPC imbedded software in our CMM systems and use blended software to tie AS9102 quality planning to CMM measurements.
PGM is always in pursuit of the best practice models. We regularly visit companies in our industry or other industries to benchmark our systems and procedures. This proactive approach will always allow our quality performance to meet and exceed our customers’ requirements.
